The Asian Pacific Community Fund (APCF) is a network of 85 community organizations serving more than 1,500,000 people annually in a total of 41 Asian languages plus English and Spanish. As the only Asian and Pacific Islander community-based fund in Southern California, APCF is focused on providing culturally sensitive programs and services to meet the complex and diverse needs of the Asian and Pacific Islander community.
Who We Are
Asian Pacific Community Fund (APCF) and our network of nonprofits provide a wide range of multicultural and multilingual supportive services. While serving a population that is often underserved due to language and cultural barriers, many Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) nonprofits are often under resourced, underfunded, and understaffed, facing unstable funding and lacking financial reserves and other resources related to capacity and infrastructure.
APCF serves more than 1.35 million community members throughout the 10 counties of Southern California, 82% of whom are lower-income. This population includes youth, families, seniors and more. APCF supports the capacity of health services, food security, art and culture.
What We Do
We believe that AANHPI communities are best served by strong nonprofits that speak their language and offer culturally relevant programs. Since many of these organizations are under-resourced, underfunded, and often understaffed, APCF provides financial assistance in the form of traditional grant making and provides capacity building support to numerous AANHPI nonprofits.
Many of our network agencies serve as one-stop centers, providing a wide range of services tailored to the language and cultural needs of individuals and families. Annually, these services include afterschool programs for children and youth; employment services for youth and adults; healthcare services for children and adults; affordable housing for children and families; case management and counseling; parent education and training; and legal services for adults.
