Who We Are
The Los Angeles Foundation on Aging (LAFA) is dedicated to improving the lives of older adults and their caregivers throughout Los Angeles. As our community’s older population continues to grow, LAFA works to ensure that seniors have access to the resources, services, and support they need to age with dignity, independence, and security.
Through community partnerships, programs, and advocacy, LAFA supports solutions that address the immediate and long-term needs of older adults. We believe every senior deserves the opportunity to live a healthy, connected, and meaningful life.
What We Do
LAFA focuses on reducing barriers to essential resources, supporting caregivers, promoting healthy aging, and strengthening the community network of services available to seniors. Our programs include home-delivered meals, Project CARE (Caring Actions Responding to Elders), Thanksgiving Meal assistance, and other community-based efforts that provide seniors with essential food, care, and support.
Through the generosity of donors, community partners, volunteers, and advocates, LAFA is able to reach older adults who are most in need. Together, we can help ensure that no senior is forgotten and that every older adult has the opportunity to age with dignity, connection, and hope.
